Slop Signal labels posts in your X and LinkedIn feeds. It has no accounts and no sign-in.

What leaves your browser

For each post of 10 or more words that you scroll near, the extension sends to our server:

• the post's text
• which site it's on (X or LinkedIn)
• whether it has an image, video or link
• a random installation ID generated on install (not linked to you, your Google account, or your social accounts)

The server forwards the text and site to OpenRouter for classification by the Jev model and returns a label. Post text is not stored on our server.

We never send or collect: authors, profile data, post URLs, who you follow, messages, cookies, browsing history, or anything from other websites.

What we store on the server

Per random installation ID only: first and last seen time, counts of posts classified per site and per label, and today's number of requests (to enforce the limit of 500 new posts per day). This tells us roughly how many people use the extension. Nothing in it identifies you.

What is stored in your browser

The random installation ID, your on/off setting, label counts per site and today's usage (shown in the popup), and a cache of labels keyed by a one-way hash of the post text (not the text itself), kept for 7 days. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.

Sharing

We don't sell or share data. The only third party is OpenRouter, which receives post text to classify it.

Permissions

• Access to x.com, twitter.com and linkedin.com: to read posts in your feed and show labels.
• storage: for the settings, counts and cache above.

Children

Slop Signal is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date.
